The Katadyn Expedition high-performance filter is a water filter that is particularly suitable for outdoor activities, expeditions, camping and crisis situations. It filters the water using a 0.2 micron ceramic filter that can be cleaned separately. During its service life, it filters approx. 100,000 litres of water. It purifies around 4 litres of water per minute.

The filter removes bacteria, protozoa and other pathogens. The mini-pores of the filter ceramic (pore size: 0.2 micron=0.0002 mm) are smaller than the microorganisms mentioned. For this reason, they cannot pass through the filter element and are therefore removed from the water.
